HEARTS of SPACE is a renowned national showcase for ambient, contemplative, and space-creating music. Listeners have described the show as captivating, essential, and profoundly moving. It consistently offers exceptional music that goes beyond mere relaxation, providing a refined and emotionally significant experience.

Our newly revamped 4th generation Hearts of Space mobile app offers free access to our new shows up to 4 times per week for iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch users. Show lineup changes and the free play allotment resets every Friday around midnight Pacific Time.

The new in-app SETTINGS now allow for a personalized experience. Users can conveniently browse and SEARCH the entire Hearts of Space collection of programs and albums within the app. They can also create and edit personal PLAYLISTS and FAVORITES (now rated with three stars), allowing them to block any program they do not wish to hear. The app features glitch-free audio "backgrounding," Bluetooth and AirPlay support, as well as high-quality AAC format streaming at up to 256 kBps.

SUBSCRIBERS benefit from enhanced access, choice, and interactivity. One subscription covers all their mobile devices, except older laptops and desktops. For a seamless musical experience, subscribers can turn off voiceovers and utilize interactive stream navigation, a sleep timer, and auto-repeat.

• STANDARD SERVICE—is a budget-friendly choice for continuous background music, providing direct access to 133 programs with slightly less interactivity. It includes unlimited play of THIS WEEK’s program and 11 continuous, interactive CHANNELS—9 genre-based channels, 1 "RECENT" channel featuring the 12 newest programs, and 1 eclectic "ALL ARCHIVE” channel that draws from the entire collection.
• BASIC SERVICE—offers unlimited play of THIS WEEK’s show during its featured week, an auto-repeat function, and the ability to browse and sample everything.

The program has developed its own unique format—a tranquil and space-creating blend of ambient, electronic, world, new age, classical, contemplative, and experimental music from various eras and cultures. It is this vast range of musical styles that has contributed to our enduring success. A weekly one-hour show has been nationally syndicated on the NPR network since 1983 and has been enjoyed by millions of radio listeners worldwide.

In 2001, we were among the pioneers in offering an online streaming service as independent music producers. While we continue to serve our radio network, our primary focus now lies on our website and mobile apps.
